5 Passive Income Apps I Actually Use (Trading, Finance, and Reality-Check Tools)

Not the “get rich while you sleep” kind — the kind that actually keeps my numbers honest.

I’ve talked before about building out 5 streams of passive income, and one of the biggest pieces of that puzzle has been building tools I actually use myself. These aren’t apps that promise money for doing nothing — they’re the trading and market tools I built to keep my own decisions grounded in data instead of gut feeling. Here are five I reach for regularly, plus what each one actually does.

1. Options Reality

Options trading is one of the easiest places to talk yourself into a bad trade. Options Reality is my check against that — a straightforward way to see the real risk and reward on a position before committing to it, instead of relying on optimism.

2. Swing Options Trade

For swing positions I plan to hold for a few days to a few weeks, this tool helps me map out entry and exit points without second-guessing every candle. It’s less about predicting the market and more about sticking to a plan once I’ve made one.

3. Market Reality

This one’s my daily gut-check. Before I make any moves, Market Reality gives me a clear-eyed read on where the market actually stands, cutting through the noise and hype that floods trading social media on any given day.

4. Crypto Reality Check

Crypto moves fast, and it’s easy to get swept up in hype cycles. This tool is my pause button — a quick way to sanity-check a crypto position before acting on impulse rather than analysis.

5. Candlestick Pattern Reader

Reading candlestick charts well takes practice, and this tool helps me double-check my own pattern reads before acting on them — especially useful on days when I’m moving fast and want a second opinion before I second-guess myself into missing a window.

Why I Built My Own Tools Instead of Just Using What’s Out There

A lot of trading apps are built to keep you trading, not to keep you honest. I wanted tools that did the opposite — ones that slow me down just enough to make a clearer decision instead of a reactive one. If you want to see the rest of what I’ve built, my full app library is up on my base44 profile, and you can browse the wider base44 platform at app.base44.com/apps.

None of these apps make money appear out of nowhere — what they do is keep my decisions grounded, which over time has mattered a lot more than any single lucky trade.
